Tuapse oil refinery in Russia comes under attack

The Tuapse oil refinery in Russia has been attacked once again.

Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the refinery is one of the largest in Russia, with a processing capacity of approximately 12 million tonnes of oil per year. It specializes in primary oil refining, producing straight-run gasoline, diesel fuel, and fuel oil, a significant portion of which is exported.

The refinery holds strategic importance for the Russian military, as it supplies fuel to the Black Sea Fleet and military infrastructure in southern Russia. It plays a key role in the logistical chain for fueling military equipment and aircraft.

Earlier, on February 26, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed an attack on the Tuapse oil refinery in Russia's Krasnodar Krai.
