Russians cross Oskil River, Ukrainian Defense Forces attempting to push enemy back – Khortytsia OSGT
This was reported by Spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational Strategic Group of Troops (OSGT), Major Viktor Trehubov, during a live broadcast, according to Ukrinform.
"The Russians used the opportunity to deploy some troops across the frozen river. Now, the task for the Ukrainians is to drive them out of there. Additionally, they are trying to send reinforcements via the river using small boats, but it's not the 'success' they experienced earlier. Therefore, they currently have certain troops that they are attempting to utilize, while the Ukrainians, of course, are working to push them back across the river," Trehubov stated.
According to the Spokesperson, flooding on the Oskil River is not expected this spring.
"Not now. Most likely, there will be no flooding. On the one hand, it's good that there was little snow, otherwise, the river would have remained frozen for a longer period, allowing them to deploy more troops. However, significant flooding is not expected, and the river is not one that would overflow and wash them all away," Trehubov added.
As reported earlier, in the Kupiansk sector, Russian invaders are attempting to deploy forces to the western bank of the Oskil River.
