Syrskyi briefs UK, French, German military command on frontline changes
Syrskyi shared details of the discussions on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Via video conference, he spoke with UK Chief of the Defense Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, French Chief of the Defense Staff General Thierry Burkhard, and Germany's Inspector General of the Bundeswehr General Carsten Breuer.
The Ukrainian commander expressed gratitude to the armed forces, governments, and people of all three nations for their steadfast and unwavering support of Ukraine. He emphasized that their commitment to upholding Ukraine's sovereignty and security serves as an example for the entire democratic world.
The parties reviewed Ukraine's urgent military needs, including weapons, military equipment, and ammunition.
Syrskyi said that Admiral Radakin, General Burkhard, and General Breuer reiterated their continued practical support for Ukraine.
"On air defense, artillery shells, armored vehicles, and troop training -- Europe remains firmly with us," Syrskyi concluded.
Following an emergency EU summit, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that Germany, France, and the UK are closely coordinating their support for Ukraine. The three nations back a ceasefire in the air and at sea, as well as a prisoner exchange as a potential first step toward broader agreements.
