Ukraine’s Airborne Assault Forces are on a mission to eliminate Russian sabotage and assault groups that snuck into the outskirts of Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region through an empty gas main.

That’s according to the General Staff, Ukrinform reports.

After aerial reconnaissance detected Russian troops in the area, Ukrainian paratroopers launched missile and artillery strikes, and employed uncrewed systems of various types.

“Currently, Russian special operations forces are being detected, locked, and destroyed. The enemy's losses in the Suzha area are massive," the General Staff said.

As per media reports, on Saturday morning, about a hundred Russian troops approached the Ukrainian positions in Sudzha after making their way into the area through an abandoned gas main.
