War update: 138 clashes on frontline, fiercest fighting in Toretsk sector

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 138 combat clashes between Ukrainian defenders and Russian forces, with the enemy being most active in the Toretsk sector.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, sharing operational information as of 22:00 on Thursday, March 6, according to Ukrinform.

The Russian invaders launched 68 airstrikes, using 104 glide bombs. Additionally, the Russians deployed 946 kamikaze drones and conducted over 4,000 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces and settlements.

In the Kharkiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled three enemy attacks near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy conducted five assaults on Ukrainian defensive positions near Zahryzove. All Russian attacks were repelled by the Ukrainian defenders.

In the Lyman sector, throughout the day, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 15 times near Ivanivka, Balka Zhuravka, Yampolivka, and in the direction of Hryhorivka.

In the Siversk sector, the enemy made one attempt to advance on Ukrainian positions near Bilohorivka, but it was repelled.

In the Kramatorsk sector, 14 combat clashes have been recorded near Chasiv Yar and towards Stupochky, with four of them ongoing. Kramatorsk was also hit by an airstrike.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russians attacked 32 times the positions of the Ukrainian defense forces. The main offensive efforts were concentrated near Dyliivka, Krymske, Ozarianivka, and Toretsk. One battle is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, since the beginning of the day, 17 attempts were made by the enemy to break through Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Promin, Dachenske, Kotlyne, Nadiivka, and Andriivka. One battle is still ongoing.

The enemy has suffered significant losses in this sector of the frontline. Today, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized 286 invaders, of which 138 were killed. Additionally, one tank, seven vehicles, four UAV control antennas, two motorcycles, seven UAVs, two generators, and five satellite communication terminals were destroyed. Also, two tanks, three vehicles, and one armored vehicle of the enemy were damaged.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy attacked five times near Kostiantynopil, Skudne, and Burlatske but was repelled.

In the Huliaipole sector, the enemy attacked five times in the areas of Pryvilne and Novosilka.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled ten assaults by the invaders in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Nestrianka, Kamianske, and Piatykhatky. One battle is currently underway.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.

In Russia’s Kursk region, Ukrainian forces repelled 29 Russian attacks, while two clashes are still ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy launched 22 airstrikes, dropping 31 guided bombs on Ukrainian positions and settlements, and carried out 427 artillery shellings.

The situation on other fronts has not changed significantly.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in the Pokrovsk sector, Russian unsuccessfully attempted to regain control of Pishchane.
