Russian occupation troops are unsuccessfully trying to cut off Ukrainian logistics routes to Pokrovsk.

Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of Forces, stated this on Ukrainian television, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“They have failed to bypass and effectively cut off Ukrainian supplies to the town from the west,” Trehubov said.

He added that in this regard, the occupiers are regrouping their troops, deploying additional units, and reorganizing new waves of attacks on the same small plot of land west of Pokrovsk.

"It is clear that they require replenishment, regrouping, and reinforcement," explained the spokesperson.

Trehubov stated that the overall operational situation in the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Group of Forces remains tense, particularly in the Pokrovsk and Kupiansk sectors.

“In a number of areas, the enemy is using the frozen ground and frozen water to redeploy its forces where it used to pose certain problems,” he noted.

Trehubov confirmed that the Defense Forces are delivering a robust response, including in the sectors that the enemy considers to be a priority. Among them is the Pokrovsk sector, where the Russians have recently been concentrating all their forces and efforts but are facing counterattacks from Ukrainian troops.

“(The enemy - ed.) has experienced some setbacks, at least the initial plan has clearly stalled,” the spokesman summarized.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian occupation forces have reduced the number of attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, mainly due to the fact that the enemy is regrouping.
