Occupiers completely destroyed power generation in Mykolaiv – mayor

On the night of February 16, Russia’s strike on a local thermal power plant completely destroyed the power generation in Mykolaiv.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“... at night, the enemy attacked our TPP with several drones, which left the subscribers of TPP without heat. Power generation was completely destroyed,” Senkevych said.
The mayor added the city is trying to restore heat supply using alternative ways to solve the problem.
Senkevych noted that throughout the day, utility services were eliminating the consequences of the attacks in two districts.
The mayor added that efforts to remove the consequences of the shelling will continue tomorrow.
As Ukrinform reported, buildings in Mykolaiv are being connected to heat following Russia’s massive shelling.
