Russian occupation forces are amassing troops to conduct assault operations in the Chasiv Yar area in the Donetsk region.

Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group, said this on Ukrainian television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

He noted that the enemy was concentrating its main efforts on gathering personnel in various parts of the city to continue active assault operations.

"Now there is a period of buildup and concentration, if possible, on the approaches to Chasiv Yar and regrouping within the city itself to prepare for further assault operations," Zaporozhets said.

According to him, the enemy did not use armored vehicles last week.

"They have been using more vehicles for logistical purposes, such as quad bikes and buggies. They are actively deploying smoke, which indicates that the enemy is preparing for further offensive operations in Chasiv Yar," Zaporozhets added.

The Donbas Special Forces Battalion of the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine released a video showing what the streets of Chasiv Yar now look like. The Ministry of Interior shared the footage on Facebook.
