In the temporarily occupied city of Kerch, barrels from boom barriers have once again washed ashore, and no one is removing them.

That's according to the Telegram channel Crimea Wind, Ukrinform reports.

The shoreline of the Cherepashka recreational area is littered with barrels connected by a metal frame. They remain on the shore, untouched. Previously, locals would collect such barrels from the city beach and take the metal for themselves.

The report notes that the sea has been washing these barrels ashore for over a year in various parts of the city. This follows a November 2023 storm that tore Russian boom barriers near the Kerch Bridge to pieces.

Last week, a large amount of foam from the barrels was also found along the Kerch waterfront.

The occupiers have been using pickle barrels as makeshift protection for the Kerch Bridge, polluting the coastline.
