Ukrainian forces down 25 Russian drones, 27 lost from radar

That is according to the Ukrainian Air Force’s post on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

Between 21:00 on January 23 and early January 24, the Russian forces launched an attack using 58 drones, including Shahed UAVs and imitation drones of various types. These drones were launched from multiple directions, including Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The Ukrainian air defense forces, including anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and mobile fire groups, actively repelled the aerial attack.

By 9:00 on January 24, a total of 25 drones had been shot down in Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Lviv regions.

As many as 27 Russian imitation drones were reported as "locationally lost" without causing damage.

In Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, the attacks resulted in casualties, fatalities, and destruction of residential buildings, private homes, and vehicles.

In Lviv region, drone debris caused damage to a house, as previously reported.

Special services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and provide assistance to those affected.

As earlier reported by Ukrinform, overnight drone attacks in Kyiv region on January 24 claimed the lives of three people.
