DPRK troops remain in Kursk region, ready to engage in combat - Pentagon
That’s according to the U.S. Department of Defense’s assessment, reported by spokesperson Sabrina Singh, who spoke at a briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
DPRK troops remain in Kursk region, the spokesperson noted, emphasizing that the U.S. has no verified data on North Korean soldiers taking direct part in hostilities.
At the same time, Washington is aware that DPRK soldiers are ready to engage in combat so the Pentagon continues to monitor the developments, Singh noted.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry reported on the likelihood of Russia increasing the North Korean contingent to 100,000 troops.
