Russian warships have arrived in Cuba for the second time in two months.
This was reported by Politico, Ukrinform reports.
As noted, three ships of the Russian Baltic Fleet entered Cuban waters: a training ship, a patrol ship, and a support ship. They will stay in the port of Havana until July 30.
Representatives of the Cuban defense ministry called the arrival of Russian warships a “historical practice” and a manifestation of “friendship and cooperation.”
According to experts, Russia views Cuba as a strategically important country given its influence among developing countries.
As Ukrinform reported, last month a squadron of Russian warships, including the nuclear submarine Kazan, visited Havana.
