The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has returned to the Armed Forces a significant amount of ammunition of various calibers, which had been transferred to enterprises for disposal as surplus before the start of Russia's armed aggression.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Defense reported this on Facebook.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the returned ammunition, after a thorough quality check, is already being used on the battlefield against the Russian invaders. These include artillery rounds, small arms ammunition, components, fuses, etc.

"This process is part of the Ministry of Defense's efforts to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and provide the Ukrainian military with the necessary resources to effectively counter the aggressor," the ministry emphasized.

Deputy Defense Minister Yurii Dzhyhyr noted that the Defense Ministry is looking for internal reserves to provide Ukrainian soldiers with ammunition.

"We understand that every shot, missile, and round is vital on the battlefield today. Instead of disposing of the ammunition, we are "disposing" of the enemy with it. We give them a second life - we try to restore everything that can be repaired and further used. We are all working to supply the frontline," Dzhyhyr emphasized.

As reported earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is conducting laboratory tests of a new lightweight model of body armor weighing from 7.5 kg to 12 kg, which will provide 6th class protection.
