The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, says the situation of Russian attacks on Ukraine from the north is seeing an escalation trend.
He spoke in an interview with NV, Ukrinform reports.
"If I start answering this question (on Russian attacks from the north - ed.), you and I will provoke panic." Let's put it this way: there are problems, and they tend to get worse," he said.
According to Budanov, "this is no catastrophe, but it is impossible not to see the problems."
"I already told someone from the Western press: I won't have much good news this year, unfortunately," added the head of the GUR agency.
As reported, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov previously stated that Russia was preparing to deploy another 300,000 troops near the Ukrainian border.
