Russia admits that Ukraine shot down A-50 in February

Russia's Investigative Committee has recognized that Ukraine shot down a Russian A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft on February 23, 2024.

This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the aggressor country, Ukrinform reports.

The court in Moscow chose a "preventive measure" in the form of arrest in absentia for the commander of the 138th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Mykola Dziaman.

The Investigative Committee's report says that on February 23, Dziaman allegedly gave the order to destroy the Russian aircraft. They also admitted that 10 crew members of the Russian military aircraft were killed in the crash.

As reported, on February 23, 2024, the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Russian A-50 long-range radar detection aircraft. This was done from the S-200 anti-aircraft missile system.
