Enemy shells Sumy region 28 times on Sunday

On Sunday, January 28, Russian troops fired 28 times at the border communities of the Sumy region, with a total of 267 explosions recorded.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“Throughout the day, the Russians fired 28 times at the border areas and settlements of the Sumy region. 267 explosions were recorded," the post says.

The Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Svesa and Seredyna-Buda communities came under enemy shelling.

The enemy attacked the Khotin community with mortars (37 explosions). In addition, Russian forces dropped explosives from an UAV (5 explosions).

The Krasnopillia community came under an enemy FPV drone attack (2 explosions) and mortar fire (2 explosions).

In the Yunakivka community, a VOG charge was dropped from an UAV (3 explosions), an FPV drone attack (1 explosion) and mortar fire (10 explosions) were recorded.

The Russians dropped 19 mines on the Velyka Pysarivka community. Ammunition was also dropped from UAVs (8 explosions) and grenade launchers were deployed (5 explosions).

The Bilopillia community came under mortar fire (8 explosions), artillery fire (8 explosions), MLRS attacks (4 explosions), small arms and automatic weapons fire (150 explosions).

The enemy dropped two mines on the Shalyhyne community.

The Svesa community was shelled with small arms. In addition, the Russian army launched unguided aircraft missiles from a helicopter (2 explosions) at the Seredyna-Buda community.

As reported, since the beginning of January, border guards have recorded more than 1,800 attacks on the border areas of the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.
