Yermak: Ukraine urgently needs military assistance, delay costs human lives

This was stated by the Head of the Office of the President (OP) of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on the air of National Public Radio, Ukrinform reports citing the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"Our soldiers, our heroes are holding the territory, but it is extremely difficult given the shortage of artillery ammunition," he said.

Yermak emphasized that during the full-scale invasion Ukraine managed to liberate more than 50% of its occupied territory.

"But, of course, it is extremely difficult for our soldiers to fight without ammunition, as well as without a number of other important things. So, without a doubt, I will emphasize once again: urgent assistance is extremely important for us, because the price of time during the war is lost human lives," the head of the OP emphasized.

At the same time, he emphasized that Ukraine is not ready to give up its territories.

"We are not ready for any compromises and concessions regarding our independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as our freedom," Yermak said.

He also added that despite the fact that there are various conflicts and wars going on in the world, Ukraine remains a priority topic, as it is the largest war in Europe since World War II, which is why more and more countries are joining the process of finding a peaceful solution based on the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

"After the meeting in Davos, where we had an event with the participation of [national security advisers and foreign policy advisers to leaders] 82 countries, including countries that have rather complicated relations with each other, we all sat at the same table and discussed Ukraine for more than 8 hours: how to stop the war, how to ensure a just peace, how to develop a detailed plan from the international community of responsible states and implement it in the future," the head of the Presidential Office said.

As reported, on January 15-18, Ukraine House, a communication, discussion, and exhibition space, was open on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to draw attention to the needs of a country that is confronting a powerful aggressor in the 21st century.
