Five bills on mobilization registered in parliament
MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak from the Holos faction said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"As of this morning, five versions of the bill on mobilization are already in the Rada," he said.
The lawmaker clarified that the subject of the submission of the legislative initiative is the government of Ukraine and that MPs submitted four alternative bills.
According to Zhelezniak, the deadline for submitting alternative bills has expired, so this is probably the entire list.
"According to the rules of procedure, the consideration of the law may start today, at least at a meeting of the committee," he said.
According to him, the Verkhovna Rada head and representatives of parliamentary factions are discussing the mobilization bill behind closed doors.
On December 25, the Cabinet of Ministers tabled in the Verkhovna Rada Bill No. 10378 "On the Introduction of Amendments to Some Legislative Acts of Ukraine to Improve Certain Issues of Mobilization, Military Registration, and Military Service."
