Six more people may be trapped under rubble in Pokrovsk, rescue operations ongoing

In Donetsk region’s Pokrovsk, six people, including two children, may be trapped under the rubble of buildings destroyed by a Russian missile strike. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine announced this on its website, Ukrinform reports.

According to data provided, two private houses in Pokrovsk were completely destroyed by enemy strikes. During rescue operations, a man was rescued from the rubble.

"According to preliminary information, six more people, including two children, may be under the rubble of the two houses. Rescue and search operations are underway at the site," the service said.

In Rivne village of the Myrnohrad city community, a Russian strike completely destroyed a private residential building, where six people, including three children, lived. Search and rescue operations are also ongoing there.

At the site of enemy shelling, rescuers extinguished a fire in a residential building on an area of 10 square meters.

In total, 34 employees of the State Emergency Service and 9 units of equipment are involved in the work.

As reported, on Saturday, January 6, the Russian army launched a massive attack on the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region.

It was established that the invaders fired S-300 missiles. As of now, it is known about 8 wounded and 11 killed, including five children.
