Death toll in Russia’s missile attack on Poltava region rises to three

The number of fatal casualties in Russia’s overnight missile strike on an oil mill in the Poltava region has increased to three.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Ihor Klymenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Following Russia’s attack on an oil mill in the Poltava region, three people were killed. One person has been listed as missing,” Klymenko wrote.

The search operation continues. Five people received injuries of various severity levels.

According to Klymenko, all those affected were the employees of the enterprise. The fire was extinguished.

Relevant services are documenting another war crime committed by Russian troops.

A reminder that, on the night of August 28, 2023, Russia attacked Ukraine’s territory with sea- and air-launched missiles. An industrial object was hit in the Poltava region. Initially, two people were reported killed and two injured.
