
Russian army injures 1,117 children in Ukraine
"More than 1,620 children have been killed and injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of August 28, 2023, according to the official information from juvenile prosecutors, 503 children were killed and more than 1,117 received injuries of various degrees of severity," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.
As noted, the indicated numbers are not final as the efforts are ongoing to establish the casualties in the areas of military operations, in temporarily captured and liberated territories.
Most children were killed and injured in Donetsk region – 485, Kharkiv region – 300, Kyiv region – 129, Kherson region – 122, Zaporizhzhia region – 99, Mykolayiv region – 97, Dnipropetrovsk region – 95, Chernihiv region – 71, Luhansk region – 67.
In particular, on August 27, a 16-year-old girl was injured in the Russian shelling of the village of Odnorobivka, Bohodukhiv district, Kharkiv region.
