Defense forces advancing towards Novoprokopivka, Mala Tokmachka, Ocheretuvate in Zaporizhzhia region

"Despite rather difficult combat conditions, our troops advanced in the areas of Urozhayne, Robotyne, and also had success in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions near Staromayorske. And currently, our troops are advancing in the direction of Novoprokopivka – this is near Robotyne – and in the direction of Mala Tokmachka, Ocheretuvate," Oleksandr Shtupun, the spokesman for the joint press center of the Defense Forces of Tavria direction, said during the United News nationwide telethon, Ukrinform reports.

According to the spokesman, the Russians try to put pressure on the Ukrainian troops in Avdiyivka and Maryinka directions but they fail.

Shtupun also noted that Ukrainian soldiers captured 17 occupiers in Tavria direction over the past day.

"Certain structures work with them. And I think that they will tell us a lot of interesting things," he said.

In addition, Shtupun added that the Russians had somewhat strengthened the aviation component, that is, the number of airstrikes increased. According to him, this only proves that other Russian firepower cannot stop the advance of the Ukrainian troops.
