In Mykolaiv, out of more than 1,300 people who applied, 63 residents have received confirmation of compensation for destroyed or damaged housing under the eRecovery program.

Oleksandr Senkevych, the mayor of Mykolaiv, said this in an interview with an Ukrinform correspondent answering a question about the progress of housing reconstruction.

"As of August 18, 1,322 applications have been submitted for the electronic public service eRecovery. Of these, 109 have been decided upon, including 63 granted for about UAH 2.2 million. In other cases, the applications were either rejected or are being clarified. The amounts are different, the smallest is 6 thousand hryvnias, the largest is almost 200 thousand hryvnias," said Senkevych.

According to him, the process is slowed down because the legal framework and the register of damaged and destroyed property are constantly changing, so many issues need to be clarified or explained. Without answers to these questions, the commission that registers the damage, cannot work faster.

The head of the city emphasized that 1,120 apartment buildings and more than a thousand private residential buildings in Mykolaiv were destroyed or damaged by rocket attacks. Of these, more than 30 apartment buildings and about 100 private houses are beyond repair.
