Armed Forces of Ukraine continue offensive in Melitopol direction

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct the offensive operation in Melitopol direction, gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries, and carry out counter-battery fight," the report says.

At night, the Russian Federation launched yet another air and missile attack on the territory of our country. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched seven missile strikes, 47 air strikes, and 69 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure objects were damaged.

Over the past day, 35 combat engagements took place.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Bobylivka and Volfyne in Sumy region. Mortars and artillery were fired at more than 25 settlements, in particular, Khrinivka, Turya, Bleshnia, Yanzhulivka, Mykolayivka, Hai in Chernihiv region; Obyednane, Khodyne, Uhroyidy, Novodmytrivka, Popivka in Sumy region; Chervona Zoria, Strilecha, Hatyshche, Mala Vovcha, Topoli in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Novoyehorivka in Luhansk region. Airstrikes were launched near Orlianske in Kharkiv region; Nadiya, Tverdokhlibove in Luhansk region. Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In Lyman direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Spirne, Rozdolivka, Vesele in Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region were hit with enemy artillery and mortars.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, Bila Hora in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Minskivka, Markove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area south of Avdiyivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Keramik, Berdychi, Vodiane, Karlivka, Netaylove, and Nevelske in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the areas northeast of Novomykhaylivka and Maryinka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike near Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. The settlements of Zhelanne Pershe, Oleksandropil, Pobieda, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Illinka in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy launched airstrikes near Blahodatne, Staromayorske in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Maksymivka, Shakhtarske, Velyka Novosilka, Urozhayne, Staromayorske, Vilne Pole in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Huliaypole, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove, Plavni in Zaporizhzhia region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Kherson direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Tiahynka and Naddniprianske in Kherson region. The enemy struck more than 20 settlements with artillery, including Lvove, Kherson, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Posad-Pokrovske in Kherson region; Ochakiv in Mykolayiv region.

Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces launched a strike on an enemy command post, 13 more strikes on personnel concentration areas, and three strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile and artillery units hit two enemy command posts, two areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, five artillery systems on firing positions, an air defense system, an ammunition depot, and an electronic warfare system.
