War update: Twenty-five combat engagements in past day

This is stated in the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Over the past 24 hours, the aviation of the defense forces launched nine strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas. Missile and artillery units hit an enemy command post and three artillery systems on enemy's firing positions," the report reads.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, gain a foothold on reached boundaries, and carry out counter-battery fight.

Over the past day, the enemy launched 29 airstrikes and 43 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured. Residential buildings, an educational institution, and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas south-west of Iskryskivshchyna and Zhuravka in Sumy region. The enemy fired mortars and artillery at more than 30 settlements, in particular, Karpovychi, Bohdanove in Chernihiv region; Tovstodubove, Volfyne, Pokrovka, Novooleksandrivka in Sumy region; Varvarivka, Budarky, Zemlianka, Komisarove in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy launched an airstrike west of Mykolayivka. The invaders carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near Synkivka in Kharkiv region. The settlements of Topoli, Masiutivka, Kupyansk, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region were hit with enemy artillery and mortars.

In Lyman direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Shyikivka, Terny, Pyskunivka, Vesele in Donetsk region. About 15 settlements, in particular, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne in Donetsk region were hit with enemy artillery.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Kurdiumivka in Donetsk region. Airstrikes were launched in the areas of Vesele, Klishchiyivka, Kurdiumivka in Donetsk region. More than 20 settlements, including Predtechyne, Dyliyivka, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, Druzhba in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Avdiyivka direction, Keramik, Stepove, Orlivka, Avdiyivka, Nevelske, Karlivka in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops near Maryinka in Donetsk region. The enemy launched airstrikes near Krasnohorivka and Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk region. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Oleksandropil, Paraskoviyivka, and Yelyzavetivka in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Vuhledar and Staromayorske in Donetsk region. Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhayne in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Charivne, Robotyne, and Pavlivka in Zaporizhzhia region. More than 30 settlements, including Novodarivka, Chervona Krynytsia, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Pyatykhatky in Zaporizhia region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Kherson direction, the enemy launched airstrikes near Olhivka and Sadove in Kherson region. More than 20 settlements, including Zolota Balka, Kozatske, Tokarivka, Poniativka, Kherson, Veletenske, and Kizomys in Kherson region, were struck with artillery.
