Injury toll from Russian missile attack on Chernihiv rises to 129

Seven people have been killed and 129 injured as a result of a Russian missile strike in the center of Chernihiv, and the search and rescue operation has been completed.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Seven dead, 129 injured, including 15 children and 15 police officers," he said.

Russian forces launched a missile attack on Chernihiv on Saturday, August 19.

Most victims of the enemy attack on the city were those staying in vehicles, crossing the road and returning from church.

August 19-21 were declared days of mourning in the city.
