Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk has said that the road to victory for Ukraine in its war with Russia will be "long and difficult," so Ukrainians should prepare for a long fight.
She said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"We have to be honest. In this war, the road to victory will be long and difficult. 'Two-three weeks,' 'by the end of the year,' 'next spring' - all this is not true. We have to get ready for a long fight. Citizens and authorities - everyone should prepare for a long and difficult war. And only then will we win," Vereshchuk said.
She also noted that everyone could do something for Ukraine's victory.
"We are preparing for a marathon, not a sprint, for a twelve-round fight, not a three-round fight," Vereshchuk said.
She also called on everyone to do their best and support each other.
"That's why we held last year. That's why we will finally win," she said.
