War update: Air Force strikes Russian positions 11 times in past day

Ukraine’s Air Force struck a Russian command post, seven manpower clusters, and three anti-aircraft missile systems.

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff, posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

At the same time, it is added that Ukraine’s defenders also destroyed a Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit two enemy clusters, three artillery systems, and an e-warfare system.

In turn, the invaders launched a missile and air strike on the territory of Ukraine, using eight Kalibr missiles and 15 Iranian-made one-way attack drones Shahed-136/131 at Odesa region. "As a result of successful combat operations by our air defense, all Kalibr missiles and UAVs were destroyed," the overview emphasizes.

The enemy launched 14 missile and 72 air strikes, as well as 63 attacks involving MLR systems, on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, a number of civilians were killed and wounded. Residential buildings, a shopping center, a student dormitory, kindergartens, schools and other civil infrastructure sustained damage.

"The likelihood of the enemy launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high," the General Staff emphasizes.

In the past 24 hours, more than 15 combat clashes took place.

On the Volyn and Polissia axes, the operational situation has not undergone changes.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes, enemy airstrikes targeted the Pavlivka and Stepne areas in Sumy region. Mortars and artillery hit 25 settlements, in particular, Popivka and Hremiach in Chernihiv region; Atynske, Stepne, Vodolahy in Sumy region; and Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, and Pletenivka in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Ivanivka and Zahryzove in Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region. More than 15 settlements, including Fiholivka, Petropavlivka, Orlianske, Kucherivka, Podoly, and Pershotravneve  in Kharkiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, the Russians carried out airstrikes in the areas of Bilohorivka and Spirne. More than 25 settlements, including Serebrianka, Dronivka, Zakitne, Vyimka, Pereizne, and Fedorivka in Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vasiukivka and Klishchiivka in Donetsk region. Over 25 settlements, including Oleksandro-Shultine, Stupochky, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, and Druzhba in Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy launched an airstrike. The settlements of Keramik, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in Donetsk region were subjected to artillery fire.

In the Marinka direction, Ukraine’s defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Marinka and Krasnohorivka. The enemy airstrike hit the Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka districts. More than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Heorhiivka, Hostre, Novomykhailivka, and Katerynivka in Donetsk region were hit by artillery.

On the Shakhtarske axis, Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, Makarivka, and Urozhaine in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine, Levadne, and Staromaiorske in Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

In the direction of Zaporizhzhia, the Russians carried out an air strike in the area of Novodanilivka. Over 20 settlements came under Russian artillery shelling, including Malynivka, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Stepnohirsk, and Plavni.

On the Kherson direction, the enemy launched an airstrike in the Olhivka area, Kherson region. More than 20 settlements, including Dniprovske, Berehove, Veletenske, and Shyroka Balka in Kherson region and the city of Kherson, were hit by enemy artillery.

At the same time, Ukraine’s Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions.

"In order to replenish large-scale manpower losses, the enemy continues to run a covert mobilization effort in the temporarily occupied territories. In particular, in the town of Starobilsk, Luhansk region, the occupying pseudo-authority obliged all male employees at state-owned enterprises to pass a medical examination and report to the military draft office," the General Staff note .

At the same time, it is noted that the Moscow regime continues the illegal integration of the population of the temporarily occupied territories into its cultural and educational space. In particular, the Russian occupation administration set up a Russian school curriculum at a school in Bekhteri, Kherson region, where children from the settlements of Obloi, Tendrivske, Zburivka, and Novochornomorya were obliged to study. In order to force students to use the Russian curriculum, the Russians threaten their parents with liability for their children skipping school.

In the Mykhailivka settlement, Zaporizhzhia region, during the filming of a video by Russian propagandists with the participation of a high-ranking commander from Ramzan Kadyrov’s ethnic Chechen unit, an altercation with ethnic Dagestani soldiers unfolded, which turned into a shootout. One of the soldiers was seriously injured, which led to an even larger clash involving grenade launchers, hand grenades, and small arms. As a result, the Dagestanis prevailed. Some 20 occupiers were killed and 40 wounded on both sides. The commander of the Kadyrov unit was reprimanded by being sent to the front line.
