AFU aviation launches 12 strikes on Russian positions, six on missile systems

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

"At night, the Russian Federation launched another missile and air strike against Ukraine. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is being clarified. Over the past day, the Russian invaders launched two missile strikes, 43 airstrikes, and 55 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated settlements. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians, including children, were killed and wounded. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed," the report reads.

Over the past day, 33 combat engagements took place.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy fired mortars and artillery attacks on more than 15 settlements, in particular, Halahanivka, Ukrayinske, Hremyach, Novovasylivka in Chernihiv region; Volfyne, Turya in Sumy region; Ohirtseve, Okip, Budarky in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas southeast of Andriyivka, Luhansk region. Kamyanka Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Berestove, Kyslivka in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In Lyman direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Vesele, Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Terny, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, Dibrova, and Zvanivka in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the lost position in the areas of Andriyivka and Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region. An airstrike was launched near Klishchiyivka. More than 20 settlements, including Minkivka, Hryhorivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, Pryvillia, and New York in Donetsk region, were struck with enemy artillery.

In Avdiyivka direction, under heavy enemy aircraft and artillery fire, our defenders continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops near Avdiyivka area in Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike in the area of Avdiyivka. The settlements of Oleksandropil, Stepove, Keramik, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, and Nevelske in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Marinka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike near Krasnohorivka in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhaylivka, Kostiantynivka, and Antonivka in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the lost position in the area west of Staromayorske, Donetsk region. Airstrikes were launched in the areas of Blahodatne and Staromayorske. More than 10 settlements, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka, and Staromayorske in Donetsk region, came under artillery fire.

In Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the lost position in the area east of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy launched airstrikes near Chervone, Charivne, Pyatykhatky in Zaporizhzhia region. More than 20 settlements, including Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Mali Shcherbaky, Charivne, Lobkove, and Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Kherson direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Zeleny Hay, Odradokamyanka, and Bilozerka in Kherson region. More than 20 settlements, including Kherson, Zolota Balka, Veletenske, Stanislav, Komyshany, Novotiahynka, Kozatske, Antonivka, Tokarivka in Kherson region; Ivanivka in Mykolayiv region were hit with enemy artillery.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries, and carry out counter-battery fight.

"Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces launched 12 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment of the enemy, and six more – on anti-aircraft missile systems. Over the past day, missile and artillery units hit two artillery systems in firing positions, one anti-aircraft missile system, one EW station, one air defense system," the General Staff concluded.
