Shelling of Kherson region: Number of injured grows to 13

As of 17:00 on Sunday, August 13, seven civilians were killed and 13 were injured in Russian shelling of Kherson region.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"As of 17:00, as a result of Russia's military aggression in Kherson region, 20 people were affected today: 7 of them died (5 in Shyroka Balka, 2 in Stanislav), 13 were injured (three each in Kherson and Beryslav, two each in Stanislav and Komyshany, one each in Veletenske, Zolota Balka and Novi Kairy),” the report says.

Klymenko also noted that following the Russian shelling, fires broke out in private homes, residential buildings and garages.

"Brave rescuers of the State Emergency Service extinguished all the fires, despite repeated shelling by the occupiers," the minister emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported, August 14 was declared a day of mourning for those killed in Russian shelling of Kherson region.
