Defense forces achieve partial success in Robotyne area in Zaporizhzhia region
This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00 on Saturday, August 12, published on Facebook.
It is reported that Ukrainian defenders gain a foothold on the reached boundaries and carry out counter-battery fight in the mentioned directions.
In total, 33 combat engagements took place at the front during the day.
Ukraine’s Air Force launched ten strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters. Missile and artillery units struck an enemy anti-aircraft missile system and an artillery system on firing position.
During the day, the Russian troops launched six missile strikes, 36 airstrikes, and 32 MLRS attacks at the positions of defense forces and populated settlements. As a result of the enemy attacks, civilians, including children, were killed and injured. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed.
In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, Russian troops struck the area of Huryiv Kozachok in Kharkiv region from the air and attacked more than 15 settlements, including Kliusy in Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Yastrubyne, Vodolahy, and Myropilske in Sumy region; Udy, Strilecha, and Okhrimivka in Kharkiv region, with mortars and artillery.
In Kupyansk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area north-east of Synkivka, north of Kyslivka, and south-east of Andriyivka in Kharkiv region. Airstrikes were launched near Kyslivka and Pershotravneve in Kharkiv region. Kupyansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In Lyman direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Serebrianka, Siversk, Spirne, Vesele in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were hit with enemy artillery: Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne in Donetsk region.
In Bakhmut direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Klishchiyivka and Bila Hora in Donetsk region. The Russians launched an airstrike near Blahodatne. More than 10 settlements, including Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Bila Hora, and Pivnichne in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.
In Avdiyivka direction, under heavy enemy aircraft and artillery fire, our defenders continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Avdiyivka in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Novokalynove, Tonenke, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Karlivka in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery. Airstrike was launched near Bakhmut.
In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the area of Maryinka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched airstrikes near Krasnohorivka. More than 10 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhaylivka, Yelyzavetivka in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.
In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the lost position in the area of Urozhayne, Donetsk region. Vodiane, Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Rivnopil in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
In Zaporizhzhia direction, more than 20 settlements, including Novodarivka, Temyrivka, Poltavka, Chervone, Verkhnia Tersa, Novoandriyivka in Zaporizhzhia region; Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.
In Kherson direction, the enemy struck more than 20 settlements with artillery, including Zolota Balka, Zmiyivka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Tiahynka, Poniativka in Kherson region; Kutsurub and Ochakiv in Mykolayiv region.
