Russians fire 15 times at border areas in Sumy region

Russian troops shelled the areas in Sumy region bordering Russia 15 times this day, opening fire at five territorial communities.

That’s according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

The Russian invaders attacked the Krasnopillia community with mortars, causing 12 explosions, the administration reported on Telegram.

The Velyka Pysarivka community was hit by mortar mines and grenades as five and 19 explosions occurred, respectively. Russian artillery also struck the same area, where four more blasts were heard.

The enemy also shelled the Bilopillia community using grenade launchers and mortars. A total of 25 explosions were recorded.

The invaders launched nine mines on the territory of the Nova Slobidka community. The Russians opened fire using grenade launchers at the Seredyna-Buda community, resulting in 15 explosions.

According to tentative reports, there are no casualties among the civilian population and no destruction to civil infrastructure.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, more than 130 children have already been taken out of the five-kilometer border zone in Sumy region, where mandatory evacuation has been declared.
