Bulgarian government approves handover of almost 100 APCs to Ukraine

On August 4, the Bulgarian government approved the transfer of almost a hundred armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.

That’s according to Novinite, Ukrinform reports.

"The Bulgarian Government approved a draft Agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the free provision of armored transport equipment," the report reads.

It is noted that the handover of armored vehicles not used by the Bulgarian Ministry of Internal Affairs was agreed upon during President Volodymyr Zelensky's visit to Bulgaria last month.

Also last month, Bulgarian lawmakers backed the provision of 100 armored personnel carriers from the reserve of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in support of Ukraine. A total of 148 deputies voted "for" with 52 being "against".
