War update: Ukrainian aircraft launch 11 strikes on enemy positions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a morning update posted to Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

In the last 24 hours, Ukrainian rocket forces and artillery hit 12 artillery pieces, a radar station, a command post, three personnel concentration areas, two air defense systems, and three enemy ammunition depots.

On August 3, Russia attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed one-way attack UAVs. All 15 enemy drones were destroyed by Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units. The enemy also carried out one missile strike, 57 air strikes and fired 29 salvos from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, civilian casualties were recorded.

The probability of further missile and air strikes on targets across Ukraine remains very high.

About 40 combat clashes between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders were recorded in the past 24 hours.

On the Volyn and Polissia axis, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy carried out airstrikes outside Veterynarne, Kharkiv and Vesele in the Kharkiv region. The enemy used mortars and artillery against more than 40 settlements, including Karpovychi, Tymonovychi and Leonivka in the Chernihiv region, Sopych, Kucherivka, Pavlivka, Myropillia and Krasnopillia in the Sumy region and Huriiv Kozachok, Vysoka Yaruha, Vovchansk, Varvarivka and Bolohivka in the Kharkiv region.

On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy carried out airstrikes near Petropavlivka and Kyslivka. The settlements of Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Kupiansk and Kucherivka in the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

On the Lyman axis, the settlements of Nevske and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Torske in the Donetsk region were hit by enemy artillery fire.

On the Bakhmut axis, Ukraine's defense forces are restraining the enemy south and southeast of Ivanivske. The enemy carried out airstrikes outside Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske and Druzhba. More than 15 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Predtechyne and Pivnichne in the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.

On the Avdiivka axis, the enemy launched an air strike in the Avdiivka area. The enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions north and southeast of Avdiivka and southeast of Pervomaiske. The settlements of Stepove, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske in the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

On the Marinka axis, Ukraine's defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops outside the city of Marinka. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the area of Krasnohorivka and Mariinka. The enemy shelled the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Maksymilianivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

On the Shakhtarske axis, the enemy carried out airstrikes outside Makarivka and Rivnopil. The enemy made unsuccessful attempts to recapture lost positions west of Staromaiorske and east of Urozhaine. The settlements of Vremivka, Rivnopil, and Novosilky in the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

On the Zaporizhzhia axis, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the area of Uspenivka and Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the further advance of Ukrainian troops. More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Huliaipole, Novoandriyivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove and Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region and Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

In the Kherson sector, the enemy launched an air strike in the Odradokamianka area. More than 20 settlements, including Shevchenkivka, Respublikanets, Beryslav, Sadove, Kherson and Dniprovske in the Kherson region and Dmytrivka and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.

At the same time, Ukraine's defense forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk sectors, entrenching themselves on the achieved lines and carrying out counter-battery measures.
