The Ukrainian military continues going on the offensive in Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdiansk directions.

"Ukrainian soldiers continue to conduct an offensive operation in Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdiansk directions, gain a foothold on the reached frontiers, and fire artillery on the identified enemy targets," Andriy Kovaliov, spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said during the United News telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, the Ukrainian military had success in the area of Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and gain a foothold on the reached frontiers.

Meanwhile, the invaders made unsuccessful attempts to restore their lost positions northeast of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy continues to resist, redeploys units, actively uses reserves, the spokesman said.

In Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops continue going on the offensive north and south of Bakhmut.

At the same time, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in Kupyansk and Lyman directions. Heavy fighting continues here, 26 combat engagements took place over the past day, Kovaliov noted.
