Five enemy Shahed-136/131 loitering munitions and nine reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have recently been intercepted by Ukraine’s air defense units.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On the night of July 22, 2023, Russian occupiers attacked from the southeastern direction with five Shahed-136/131 loitering munitions. The Air Force’s systems and units destroyed all five suicide drones,” the report states.

Additionally, on July 21, 2023, Ukraine’s air defense units smashed nine Russian reconnaissance UAVs.

Yesterday and today, Ukraine’s Air Force launched 25 group strikes on Russian occupiers.

A reminder that Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk stated earlier that Ukraine’s Defense Forces downed three Shahed drones over the Kirovohrad and Mykolaiv regions, and two more over the Dnipropetrovsk region last night.
