The Russian war has killed another journalist, Dmytro Rybakov, who took up arms to defend his homeland.

This was reported to his comrade-in-arms Oleh Sentsov, an acclaimed film director and former Kremlin prisoner, according to Ukrinform.

Dmytro Rybakov, callsign Reporter, was part of the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Before the large-scale invasion, he worked as an editor and media consultant for Chas.News, Forbes Ukraine, LB, and Ukrainian Pravda outlets.

"Dima the Reporter would surprise everyone, first with his insight and knowledge, and then with his courage and bravery. You never know how someone will act in combat: someone gets sour, and someone fights like a lion. He fought like a lion and died a hero. Rest in peace, my friend! We will keep on fighting, now without you," Sentsov wrote on social media.

As reported earlier, as of July 20, a total of 63 journalists have been killed in Ukraine participating in military operations or as a result of Russian shelling or torture.

"Fourteen of them were killed while performing journalistic duties, another nine journalists are among civilian casualties," Taras Shevchenko, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine for European Integration, said during the meeting of the Human Dimension Committee of the OSCE Permanent Council.
