Ukrainian Defense Forces advance in Tavria direction - General Tarnavskyi

Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops, General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The combat work of the Defense Forces on the Tavria direction continues. Our soldiers are systematically pushing the enemy out of their positions. There is progress," Tarnavskyi said.

According to him, artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Tavria direction carried out 1,316 firing missions over the last day.

"Enemy losses in killed and wounded amounted to almost two companies. 24 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed," informed Tarnavskyi.

In particular, a tank, 16 armored personnel carriers, two 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, a 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system, a 2A36 Giatsint-B cannon, a 2S4 Tyulpan mortar and vehicles were destroyed.

Three enemy ammunition depots were also destroyed.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 240,690 Russian aggressors from February 24, 2022, to July 21, 2023, and another 680 people over the past day.
