Body pulled from rubble of second victim in Mykolaiv during night shelling

In Mykolaiv, the body of the second victim of the nighttime shelling of residential areas in the city center was pulled out from under the rubble.

Police chief of Mykolaiv region Serhii Shaikhet said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"As of 16:35, unfortunately, there are already two victims of the nighttime enemy terrorist attack in Mykolaiv. The body of an elderly woman, the wife of the deceased man who was taken out of the rubble of the damaged house earlier, was recovered from the ruins. Search operations are ongoing," Shaikhet wrote.

According to Iliana Patsiuk, head of the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region, the deceased man was born in 1950 and the woman in 1953.

"The woman's body was badly damaged by the fire," Patsiuk added.

As reported, on July 20, 2023, at about 03:00, the Russian military launched two cruise missiles at residential areas in the center of Mykolaiv. 18 people were injured, including five children.

Around 11 am, rescuers pulled the body of a man from the rubble.
