On the night of July 18, 2023, the Defense Forces destroyed 38 enemy targets in Ukraine’s airspace.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, last night Russian invaders attacked Ukraine’s territory from the southern direction with six Kalib-type cruise missiles and 36 Shahed-type loitering munitions.

The Kalibr missiles were likely fired from Russia’s frigate Admiral Essen, and the suicide drones from the Chauda training ground in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Ukraine’s air defense units and forces intercepted six Russian Kalibr missiles, 31 Shahed-136/131 loitering munitions, and one unmanned aerial vehicle.

All the Kalibr missiles and most suicide drones were destroyed in southern Ukraine, namely the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions. The rest of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted in the Donetsk, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

On July 17, 2023, Ukraine’s air defense units destroyed three Shahed loitering munitions, one Lancet UAV, and nine reconnaissance UAVs.

Over the past few days, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched up to 15 multiple air attacks on Russian invaders.
