The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Joint Press Center of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the Tavria direction Valerii Shershen during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, the enemy has attacked our positions 25 times and opened fire 615 times with tanks, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and cannon artillery. In general, the enemy launched 11 air strikes and attacked from the air, namely with suicide drones, eight times,” Shershen told.

In his words, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the village of Rivnopil. The occupiers launched an air strike on the village of Storozheve and shelled over 15 settlements.

According to Shershen, Russian troops continue assaults in order to seize Marinka and create conditions for the capture of Avdiivka.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Defense Forces are gradually advancing in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions despite the enemy’s attempts to re-capture their lost positions.
