General Staff: 28 combat engagements recorded in four directions in past day

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its evening update, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions, heavy fighting is ongoing. More than 28 combat engagement took place over the past day," the report says.

According to the General Staff, the Russian invaders launched 11 missile strikes and used eight Iranian-made Shahed attack UAVs. In addition, the enemy launched 40 air strikes and about 30 MLRS attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces and populated areas. In addition to destroyed civilian infrastructure, civilians were affected.

The probability of further missile attacks and air strikes across the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

In the Lyman direction, the aggressor launched air strikes on the area of Bilohorivka and Novoliubivka in Luhansk region and Siversk in Donetsk region. Nevske, Bilohorivka of Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske and Torske of Donetsk region were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Minkivka and Bohdanivka of Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under enemy artillery shelling, including Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka direction, the aggressor conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Avdiivka. An air strike was recorded there. The Russian forces used artillery to shell more than 10 settlements, including Avdiivka and Pervomaiske in Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all attacks on the city of Marinka. At the same time, the Russians carried out air strikes on the areas of Kotliarivka, Marinka, and Kurakhove, as well as shelled more than 10 settlements with artillery. Among them are Marinka and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region.

In the past day, the Ukrainian Air Forces launched nine strikes on enemy manpower clusters, while units of the rocket troops and artillery hit 22 artillery units in firing positions and 2 anti-aircraft defense systems.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the past day, the Russian forces launched attacks on 10 regions across Ukraine, using attack drones, aircraft, heavy artillery, mortars, and MLRS.
