Over 20 combat engagements recorded in three directions – General Staff

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its evening update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, the enemy used six S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles against civilian infrastructure objects in the cities of Zaporizhzhia and Chuhuiv. In addition, throughout the day, the enemy launched 23 air strikes, carried out about 46 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. The probability of further missile attacks and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high," the report says.

The Russian army continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, and Marinka directions - about 22 combat clashes occurred during the day.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Rozdolivka and Bilohorivka. Air strikes were recorded near Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Lyman and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region. More than five settlements, in particular, Bilohorivka of Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske and Rozdolivka of Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the Bakhmut area. Air strikes were recorded near Bila Hora and Dyliivka in Donetsk region. About 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske in Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of Marinka, as well as in Pobieda and Novomykhailivka. At the same time, air strikes were recorded near Krasnohorivka and Nevelske. More than 10 settlements came under enemy artillery shelling. In addition, Nevelske, Oleksandropil, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Pobieda of Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

The aircraft of the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched 11 strikes on Russian manpower clusters over the past day.

Units of the Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit two Russian command posts, a radar station and an artillery unit in its firing position.

As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar said that the Defense Forces intercepted an operational initiative in the Bakhmut area.
