War update: More than 10 combat engagements in three directions

More than 10 combat engagements took place in Lyman, Bakhmut, and Maryinka directions during the day.

This is stated in the evening report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

"The enemy focuses its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, and Maryinka directions – over 10 combat engagements took place during the day," the report reads.

The General Staff noted that Russian invaders attacked the cottage house area in Kremenchuk district, Poltava region, with a Kh-22 cruise missile today. In addition, the enemy launched 20 airstrikes and more than 20 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements.

Civilians were killed and injured, and civilian infrastructure objects, apartment blocks, and dozens of private houses were destroyed and damaged.

According to the General Staff data, the operational situation in Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups.

Russian troops maintain their military presence in Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions. The Russians fired mortars and artillery at more than 20 settlements, in particular, Zarichchia, Tymonovychi in Chernihiv; Seredyna-Buda, Porokhon, Fotovyzh, Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy region. The Russians also shelled Udy, Kozacha Lopan, and Krasne Pershe in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, more than 20 settlements were hit with artillery and mortars, including Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region.

In Lyman direction, more than 15 settlements were hit with artillery in particular, Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Serebrianka, Spirne in Donetsk region.

In Bakhmut direction, the Russians made unsuccessful attempts to regain their lost position southeast of Ivanivske.

The enemy fired artillery at the areas of more than 15 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Markove, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, and Pivdenne in Donetsk region.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the area of Avdiyivka. Artillery was fired at more than 20 settlements. Russian troops shelled Keramik, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Yasnobrodivka, Pervomayske, Nevelske in Donetsk region.

In Maryinka direction, the enemy carried out offensive operations near Maryinka, had no success. The Russians also launched airstrikes near Maryinka and Krasnohorivka. In addition, artillery was fired at the areas of more than 10 settlements. Illinka and Pobieda in Donetsk region came under fire.

In Shakhtarske direction, the Russians carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Rivnopil. Airstrikes were launched in the area of Storozheve in Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements were also shelled, in particular, Katerynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Bohoyavlenka, Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva in Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops focus their main efforts on preventing the advance of the defense forces of Ukraine. The enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Orikhiv and Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia region. Artillery was fired at more than 40 settlements, including Novodarivka, Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Preobrazhenka, Orikhiv, Pavlivka in Zaporizhia region; Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Vesele, Antonivka, Kherson, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Kizomys in Kherson region; Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region.

The Russian troops suffer daily losses. About 50 wounded Russians were brought to the building of a kindergarten converted into a field hospital in Novomykhaylivka, Kherson region.

The Russian military continues to turn civilian educational institutions in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine into healthcare institutions. Thus, the Russians turned the secondary school in the village of Rozhivka, Zaporizhzhia region, into yet another military hospital. Wounded invaders are brought there constantly.

During the day, Ukraine’s Air Force launched 12 strikes on personnel concentration areas and four more on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian troops.

Missile and artillery units hit an enemy command post, two Buk anti-aircraft missile system, and four manpower, weapons and military equipment clusters.
