Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 12 enemy attacks in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction, having eliminated about 100 Russian invaders.

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Eastern Grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhii Cherevatyi during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Twelve enemy attacks were repelled in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction. The enemy opened fire with artillery and multiple launch rocket systems 477 times, and launched 11 air attacks. A total of 99 occupiers were eliminated, 152 injured and two taken prisoner,” Cherevatyi told.

Ukrainian warriors destroyed two enemy armored personnel carriers, one infantry fighting vehicle, one Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, one D-20 howitzer, and six suicide drones.

Cherevatyi noted the enemy’s low morale. In his words, Russian soldiers do not understand what they are giving their lives for.

“What we hear from the prisoners shows that they are demotivated. They are complaining about difficult living conditions and do not understand what they are fighting for,” Cherevatyi added.

A reminder that over 350 Russian occupiers have been eliminated and injured in the Bakhmut sector in the past 24 hours.
