War update: Russians conduct unsuccessful offensive actions in five directions

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the General Staff, Russian invaders continue focusing efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Over 27 military clashes have occurred there in the past 24 hours.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Khromove, Ivanivske and Pervomaiske, as well as artillery strikes on Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Pivdenne and New York.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near the Donetsk region’s Sieverne and Avdiivka; launched air strikes near Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Nevelske, Avdiivka and Sieverne, as well as artillery strikes on Berdychi, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Karlivka and Nevelske.

In the Marinka direction, Russian invaders conducted offensive actions towards the Donetsk region’s Marinka but had no success. The enemy launched artillery strikes near the Donetsk region’s Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Heorhiivka.

In the Shakhtarske direction, Russian occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Donetsk region’s Novomykhailivka. The enemy launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Oleksiivka and Blahodatne, as well as shelled Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka and Blahodatne.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops continue holding defense. The enemy is focusing efforts to prevent Ukrainian forces from advancing. Russian invaders tried to regain their lost positions near the Donetsk region’s Makarivka. The occupiers launched air strikes near the Donetsk region’s Zolota Nyva, Storozheve and Makarivka; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Novodanylivka, Levadne, Orikhiv and Stepnohirsk; the Kherson region’s Antonivka.

The enemy launched artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Vodiane, Vuhledar, Novoocheretuvate, Makarivka, Vilne Pole, Storozheve, Zelene Pole and Novopil; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Novodarivka, Temyrivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Bilohhiria,  Novodanylivka, Omelnyk, Chervona Krynytsia, Preobrazhenka, Orikhiv, Yehorivka, Novoandriivka, Stepove and Piatykhatky; the Dnipropetrovsk region’s Prydniprovske; the Kherson region’s Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Kozatske, Shliakhove, Burhunka, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Ivanivka, Molodizhne, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Kherson, Zymivnyk, Dniprovske, Yantarne, Berehove and Veletenske.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy is maintaining military presence within the areas bordering with Ukraine. Russian invaders launched air strikes near the Sumy region’s Pavlivka; the Kharkiv region’s Hatyshche and Pletenivka. Russian troops also launched mortar and artillery strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Karpovychi; the Sumy region’s Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhine, Popivka, Atynske, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Pavlivka, Obody and Kindrativka; the Kharkiv region’s Huriv Kozachok, Udy, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Oliinykove, Neskuchne, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Nesterne, Pletenivka, Budarky, Zemlianky, Ozerne, Vilkhuvatka, Chuhunivka and Topoli.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Kharkiv region’s Synkivka. The enemy launched artillery and mortar strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Bilohorivka. The enemy launched air strikes near the Luhansk region’s Nevske and the Donetsk region’s Bilohorivka and Siversk, as well as artillery strikes on the Luhansk region’s Nevske and Bilohorivka, and the Donetsk region’s Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groups were detected.

The threat of Russian missile and air strikes is persisting all over Ukraine, the General Staff noted.
