Defense Forces noticeably advancing in Tavria direction – General Tarnavskyi

In the Tavria direction, the Russian forces lost almost three companies killed and wounded in a day, 68 units of military equipment were destroyed or damaged.

General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, commander of the Tavria operational-strategic group of troops, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“In the Tavria direction, our army is systematically knocking the enemy out of positions and continuing to advance. The success of the Defense Forces is visible," Tarnavskyi said.

According to him, units of the rocket forces and artillery completed 1,119 fire missions in the past day.

"In the past day, the enemy lost almost three companies killed and wounded. 68 units of enemy military equipment were destroyed or damaged," the commander said.

In particular, the Ukrainian defenders destroyed 6 tanks, 13 IFVs, 2 armored personnel carriers, 3 Supercam UAVs, an Orlan-10 UAV, 5 2S19 Msta-S howitzers, 4 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, 2 Strela anti-aircraft missile systems, 5 2S5 Giatsint self-propelled artillery systems, 2 2S3 Akatsia self-propelled artillery systems, a 2S7 Pion self-propelled artillery system, a BM-21 Grad, and a Zoopark radar.

In addition, three enemy ammunition depots were destroyed.

As Ukrinform reported, from February 24, 2022 to June 21, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 222,000 Russian invaders, including 540 occupiers in the past day alone.
