Air defense forces destroy almost 20 enemy targets around Kyiv – city administration

In a nighttime massive attack by enemy kamikaze drones, almost 20 aerial targets were detected and destroyed in the airspace around Kyiv.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The 482nd day of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Another massive air attack on the capital. This time, according to preliminary information, the enemy used UAVs - Shahed barrage ammunition. This is the second attack by Iranian-made drones on Kyiv since the beginning of the month and the first in the last 18 days," the report says.

Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, noted that drones entered the capital in waves, from various directions. The air alert lasted more than three hours.

According to Popko, almost 20 enemy targets were detected and intercepted by air defense forces in the airspace around Kyiv.

No information on casualties or damage has been received so far.

As reported, last night in the capital and many regions across Ukraine, air raid sirens went off due to the launch of kamikaze drones from the territory of Russia.
