Thousands of Canadian rifles will arrive in Ukraine in coming days - Ministry of Defense

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Canada, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“The following previously announced Canadian donations will also be delivered in the coming days: 6,750 assault rifles; 1.1 million rounds of 7.62mm ammunition; 250,000 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition; and 70,000 rounds of sniper ammunition,” the report says.

It is noted that Canada “will continue to work with allies and partners to provide Ukraine with the military aid that it needs to defend itself.”

As reported, the new package of Canadian military aid includes 21,000 small arms and 2.4 million rounds of ammunition. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced about new military aid package for Ukraine during Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal's visit to Toronto last month.
