Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion, Ukraine has liberated 2,526 Ukrainians from captivity.

“Every time we bring our people back from Russian captivity, we remember our fundamental goal: we will not leave anyone of ours, nothing of Ukraine to the enemy. Yesterday we returned 95 more of our guys, our warriors, from captivity. In total, since February 24 last year, we have already returned 2,526 Ukrainians,” President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky posted on Telegram, releasing the footage of the latest exchange.

He thanked the team involved in the exchanges and every service member who replenishes Ukraine’s exchange fund to release our people.

“We remember everyone, we are searching for each and every one of them, and we have to bring them all back. And we will!” Zelensky pledged.

As reported, Ukraine returned another 95 defenders on June 11.

As the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War posted on Telegram, this time it was possible to free four military sailors, 11 border guards, 29 National Guard members, and 51 representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including 15 soldiers of the Territorial Defense Forces. All the freed are men.

It is noted that the exchange became possible thanks to the complex negotiations conducted by the Coordination Headquarters. In particular, it was possible to return defenders who were held captive by the Wagner Group and the Akhmat Chechen special unit.

Among the freed soldiers, 27 defended Donetsk direction. Defenders of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Luhansk, and Sumy directions are also among the liberated.
